Trixie Navarre

There are many words to describe the state of Montana- marvelous, breathtaking, relaxing, and inspiring. For me, it was a feeling of awe that no human words could describe. There was a lot to see and do in the few days that we were in Montana. I felt that I had just scratched the surface of many new adventures that are in my future.

Eating in Montana was a wonderful adventure of its own, filled with Montana beef, local trout, huckleberry desserts, good wine, and also a lot of fun. We visited one of best known tiki bars in the country, picnicked by a lake at Glacier National Park, and wined and dined at a couple of wonderful Montana restaurants.

I am a believer of eating locally to understand the local flavors, and food culture of any region across the globe. I enjoyed what I ate while in Montana, and just like traveling through this state, I know I only scratched the surface to its cuisine. I like to think that I created some type of foundation of what to expect when I travel to Montana again!

Mermaids and Tiki Drinks

Sip ‘N Dip Lounge Great Falls, MT

This 60 year old tiki lounge in the small city of Great Falls, has received a lot of attention in the last couple of decades. Back in 2014, USA Today ranked it as one of the best ten tiki bars in America. GQ Magazine listed the lounge in 2003 as ‘one of the top ten bars in the world’, and ranking it as the ‘#1 bar worth flying for’. The list goes on with Sip ‘N Dip’s recognition as being one of the best bars in America.
