Top of the World is the place to be on ‘top of the world’, or on top of Vegas at least. I had come in for dinner with a couple of my food friends for our January birthdays, and it was a delicious and an extraordinary experience. In the 10+ years that I have lived here, I have never tried Top of the World, and I am glad that I finally did.

Top of the World is a fine dining revolving restaurant that is on top of the Stratosphere, and overlooks the Strip. The city views are phenomenal and uninterrupted because you are 800 feet or 100+ stories high. It is a slow turn at 360 degrees every 80 minutes, and all tables have spectacular views.
There is also a lounge just above the restaurant where you can have a drink prior to your reserved dining time. It was a very nice lounge with a great cocktail menu, and sophisticated vibe. I especially enjoyed my Empress 75 that was made with Empress 1908 Gin, fresh lemon juice, and champagne.


I have been to a revolving restaurant before in Cairo, Egypt, and it can be a bit trippy. You cannot feel the restaurant move, and at times you may forget that you are in one until you look at the view, and see different buildings. Also, make sure you take note of the number enterance of where your table is if you decide to go to the restroom during dinner. The seating area revolves but the kitchen, restroom, and lobby do not. If you do not take note of the enterance number you could be walking for awhile, it happens.

As for the cuisine, it was delicious and top-notch. My friend and I decided to go with the four coursed dinner for $106.00 a person, while my other friend decided to order her dinner ala carte. I believe we all made great choices because our dishes were presented beautifully, and everything was very tasteful.
