What I ate in FRANCE | A Food Journal

France is famous for many things: art, architecture, culture, fashion, and food- just to name a few. Since I first started visiting this country almost fifteen years ago; I had done a lot, seen a lot, and ate a lot. Each region has its own specialties of wines, cheeses, and local dishes; and eating your way around a country is the best way to tour it.

Greetings from Café Marly – Paris

During my past visits to France, much of my focus was on the art and culture of the country with food on the sideline. That did not mean I did not well, I mean how could you not eat well in France?

Pain au Chocolat and Hot Chocolate – Angelina

I ate many French classics from Beef Bourguignon , Coq au Vin, and escargot. I also treated myself to many delicious things from Paris’s famous Angelina, and Laduree on the Champs-Elysees. Plus I ate more croissants and baguettes that I could shake a stick at.

Not too bad for placing food as a sideline while visiting France. That just goes to show you how delicious dining is interwoven into the culture of this extraordinary European country.

Moving forward on my next rounds to France, I will certainly go through this country with the gastronomy and wine culture in mind, since I already absorbed much art and culture.

France is saturated with sumptuous French and international dishes, regional wines and cheeses, and gourmet pastries and sweets. It will be more than likely you will always eat well in France, no matter how long you stay or what you came to visit for- Bon Appetit!
