Utah is my favorite state when it comes to road tripping, and exploring the beauty of nature. Although it is a smaller state than California, which has the most national parks; Utah is home to many of America’s national parks including Arches. This is one of Utah’s most popular and famous parks due to the highly photographed red rock natural arches. It is a magnificent park to visit, along with the neighboring Canyonlands National Park.

I had visited Arches National Park while I was in Salt Lake City for a concert. My friend and I had a couple of spare days, so we rented a car and drove four hours, and spent the night in the neighboring town of Moab. We spent a day driving through the gorgeous landscapes and hiking amongst the beautiful red rock formations. It was a terrific road trip, and visit into one of Utah’s most treasured sites.

Arches National Park has over 2,000 natural stone arches, as well as hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive fins, and giant balanced rocks. It is a wonderland of red rock formations that can be easily accessed by driving, walking paths, or short hikes. For those who love the outdoors and rock formations, Utah’s national parks have some of the best you will find in the country.

Arches National Park as well as Devil’s Garden Campground inside the park is open year round, even during snow season. Please visit the official website for more information on visiting the park- Arches National Park.

There is a vehicle entrance fee for $30 (2021 price) which is good for seven days. If you are in the area or plan on visiting more during the year, you can purchase an Annual Southeast Utah park pass for $55.00 (2021 price), which pays off after two visits.
My favorite is the America the Beautiful pass for $80 (2021 price) which allows you into every National Park in the United States for a full year.
