STK inside the Cosmopolitan is a swanky on The Strip steakhouse, with a club like vibe to it. One would think that the draw into STK would be that party feel with a live DJ in the house, but the food and cocktails are just as big of a draw. We had come in for our Capricorn birthday celebration, and we had been celebrating all week. This was the choice of a fellow gastronome friend, and it was a fantastic decision for our final fine dining celebrations.
We started off at Happy Hour, which I recommend on its own or prior to your dinner. The menu is terrific and offers starters at $7, as well as discounted cocktails. My friend and I started off with cocktails, of course, and also ordered the Jalapeño Pickled Shrimp Cocktail, Salmon Slider, and the Miso Chilean Seabass.
Everything was superb that we ordered from the Happy Hour Menu, especially the Jalapeño Pickled Shrimp Cocktail. We were also offered the Blue Cheese Bread, which was very delicious. I had asked our server if the blue cheese used was Point Reyes because I noticed it being used in another dish on the menu, and it was!
Since we had reservations we moved to the main dining area for dinner, which had a sexy vibe to it, and great music. I decided for my dinner entre on steak, since STK is a place for steaks. I had read about their steak program, which interested me, and the 6 oz. Filet medium rare was on my plate. I decided to upgrade, and have it topped with Alaskan King Crab Oscar which was delicious. The steak was a wonderful, cut and the Crab Oscar was perfect.

STK is a fine place for fine dining on The Strip in Las Vegas. I highly recommend it for those who are wanting a lot of sexy with their steak and seafood- Bon Appetit!

Pecan Crusted – 3 Dipping Sauces: Dulce de Leche, Raspberry and Spiced Chocolate
— Dutch Apple Pie —
Served with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
— Birthday Chocolate Mousses —
Since it was our birthdays, they brought us out three individual chocolate mousses with lit birthday candles too. We were not expecting it, and the candle lit birthday desserts were “sweet” touches to our celebratory meals- Happy birthday to us! 🎂
